The Rush Process

Unlike most schools, Doane's rush starts at the beginning of the spring semester. This is mostly so you have more time to get to know others on campus and the Greek groups before you decide to rush or not. Decided to rush? Great! Decided not to? Also great! This process is all about you deciding what works for you. Most groups will hold an "Open House" during the fall semester and Chi Delta is no exception. It's recommended you go to as many as you can so you can give all the groups a fair shot. You will then be able to register for recruitment where you fill out a form that the Greek groups you are rushing will refer to during the process. You will start at first rush where you get equal time with all the groups you signed up for (ex. all sororities, all fraternities, or both). Have fun, be yourself, and see how you enjoy each environment. After this, you may or may not get invited to a groups second and third rush parties. At the end of January is a day called "Bid Day" where all the Greek groups hand deliver bids to the individuals they want to join their group. If you get a bid, you can turn it into that group's box, and it's done! You can also always turn down a bid if you change your mind or re-rush the next year if you don't get a bid from specific group you want. Remember, it's your choice. Check out all the groups!
